Low temperature operation of Leviton VPT24-1PZ

Hi,   I recently purchased a Leviton VPT24-1PZ timer switch to operate some outdoor lights.  The concern I have is that in our home, the switch that controls the outdoor lights is located inside the garage area and not in the home
