The installation instuctions for the VPT24 in a 3-way configuration specify either a VP0SR-10 or a VP0SR-1L as a coordinating remote switch. Are these the only options or is any CRS (such as a VP0SR-C0) an acceptable alternative??

Leviton Vizia+ VPT24 timer causing CFL bulbs to stop working
Hi,
I have three outdoor lights on one circuit with two switches. One switch controls one light and the second switch controls the two other lights. I replaced both switches with Leviton VPT24 timers. Both timers work fine. The single light works fine. The two lights work for a short while and then stop lighting up. I changed the bulbs thinking they were burnt out. The new bulbs worked for about an hour and then also stopped working. All three are CFL bulbs. The two switches are not using a 3-way installation.
Can anyone tell me why the two bulbs stop working after a period of time? It's driving me crazy! I'd really like to use these timers but they're useless if they make the bulbs stop working.
Thanks!
VPT24-1P Battery Back-up
We've a VPT24-1P controlling our outdoor lights for the past couple of years. Lately, I've noticed that the battery backup doesn't maintain clock settings during a power failure--even a brief one. Is there a way to replace the rechargeable battery?
LT113 question
I've bought an LT113-10W timer but I think there's something missing from the instructions?
They state that by pressing the "override" button (or the button on the remote) for several seconds I can activate a "permanent override". The question is, how do I *cancel* such an override and return to timed operation?
VPT24-1P wiring diagram
I'm trying to hook up my VPT24-1P timer on a three way system. the big problem is on both switches already installed i only have three wires. red, white and black. the ground is in the back of the box but what do i hook up the red/yellow wire too? how can i make this work? i have no other wires in the box for these lights. the instructions mention the first and second traveller wires but they don't exist in my set up here. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
LTB60-1LZ 3-Way Wiring
I'm trying to wire up this with the corresponding VP0SR-1LZ. The wiring diagrams match up perfectly for the Remote Switch, but the LTB60 is asking for 5 wires and I only have 4 (including the ground). I've identified the ground, 2nd traveler and neutral wires, but I have one black wire where the instructions are calling for a Load Wire and a first traveler. Any ideas? Can I sure this switch. It's replacing an older version of the Leviton PR180 motion sensor switch.
Can I use this switch, if not, is there a time switch that can work in my set up.
VPT24 display flashing
I installed the VPT24-1PZ according the wiring instructions and programmed the switch. Everything worked perfectly for about 2 weeks. When I decided I wanted to change the programming, I open the cover and when I pressed the "set" button the display went blank. After a few minutes it started flashing, faster and faster until it was back to the full display, however it is not working and if I touch any of the button it goes back blank and then stats flashing again. What is wrong and how can this be fixed?
Help installing VPT24-1P Timer switch
THis is what I am seeing inside my box in the wall -
- A copper ground wire
- A black wire
- A red wire
on this new unit I see the following
- green wire - I am pretty certain this connects to the copper wire in the wall
- a black wire - which I assume connect to the black wire in the wall
A red wire - (which I would have assumed went to the red wire in the wall but I saw a youtube video where the guy said to not use this wire in a single pole install
- I have a yellow and red wire - which I am also fairly certain I do nothing with
White mystery wire
My question is - do I connect the Red to the Red - and then just cover the White wire and have it do nothing
Or do I connect the white wire to the red wire and then put a cover on the red wire like the youtube guy did.
Thanks.

VPT24-1PZ Light Switch Programable Timer
I recently purchased a programable light switch timer, VPT24-1PZ, to replace the existing light switch that is currently installed.. I tried installing it and the screen would not start up or the light would not switch on.
The existing wires found inside the wall are the following: 2 black wires, ground wire screwed to the back of the metal housing and a bunch of white wires was capped together.
The timer I bought has the following wires: 1 Black, 1 Red, 1 Green and 1 White.
I proceeded to to hook up the hot wire to the Black, the other black to the Red, the Green with the ground wire and the White wire with the white wire that belongs to the current switch I'm replacing.
This resulted with no luck. I then tried connecting the black wire that was connected to the Red and connected it to the Black on the timer switch and vise versa with the black wire that was connceted originally to the Black on the timmer switch. With the outcome being the same, the switch still does not work.
Does anyone one know what I'm doing wrong or did I buy a defective light switch?
Thanks.
Looking for timer switch that can be turned off
I need a switch/timer for my bathroom that can be:
- manually turned on
- manually turned off
- if it's turned on and it NOT manually turned off then after X amount of time it will automatically shut off.
Being able to manually turn the switch off means the lights are not ALWAYS on for 5-10 minutes (or whatever the timer is set at).

Low temperature operation of Leviton VPT24-1PZ
Hi,
I recently purchased a Leviton VPT24-1PZ timer switch to operate some outdoor lights. The concern I have is that in our home, the switch that controls the outdoor lights is located inside the garage area and not in the home itself. The garage is attached to the house and is insulated, but is not heated. The switch is therefore fully protected from the elements (rain, snow, etc) but will potentially be exposed to temperatures down to -25C or so. Will the switch operate in sub-freezing temperatures? I am less interested whether the LCD display will continue to operate properly, and more interested in whether the timer will continue to turn lights on and off.
LTB30-1LZ Timer w/ Dimmer
Can I use a LTB30-1LZ timer in conjunction with a dimmer switch?

Question on Wiring
I'm trying to install a LTB60-1LZ as a replacement to a switch to control a bathroom fan.
I pulled out the switch and I have two black wires and that's it. The corresponding white wires just loop in the box and back out, they were not cut/used for the original switch.
I take I can't just use the two black and need the white involved, yes?
VPT24-1PZ, Pro Mode, Sunup/Sundown offset time.
Hi,
I installed this timer, and it's working.
I have the porch lights come on at 6 am, and off at sunrise, then on at sunset and off at 11 pm. I like it.
My question is on what the offset setting is for? Is it used to fine-tune your latitude/longitude? (I think so) or to turn the load off after sunrise, and before sunset? (I hope so).
What I would like to do, is have the lights stay on for an hour after sunrise, because sometimes on a rainy or cloudy day it's still quite dark when the timer says it's sunup. Likewise, I would like to turn the lights on an hour before sunset.
The offset setting only seems to allow for a single postive or negative offset time, and I think I'd need two settings to add to one, and subtract from the other.
The programming instructions state:
"0:00" will be flashing to represent the offset time. Choose the amount of time, if any, to turn the load ON/OFF before or after Sunup and Sundownby pressing▲to add time to the Sunup/
Sundowntime and use▼to subtract time from the Sunup/Sundown time. Press "SET"to confirm your choice (up to 3 hours and 59 minutes).
So, if I added 60 minutes, would that merely shift the sunup and sundown times ahead 60 minutes meaning the light would come on a 6am, and go off 1 hour after sunrise, but then come on an hour after sunset?
Or is this exactly the setting I want, meaning it adds or subtracts time before or after sunrise/sunset? Have I got it backwards? I should subtract an hour?
Vizia VPT24 went blank yesterday
I installed Vizia VPT24 - single pole about a year ago and have been VERY pleased with its features and performance. Yesterday, the light did not turn on at its usual programmed time in the evening - i go to check the switch, and found the screen completely blank. I tried to reset it per the instruction sheet, nothing happened - screen does not light up and nothing is displayed. Is there other ways to debug what is happening, did the battery die, is there a way to bring the display back? Your expertise help is appreciated. Thanks. Sam
